Let's Shoot Some Trouble!

UAG Troubleshooter is a set of services that assist with troubleshooting new UAG deployements for Horizon or WS1 Tunnel. It currently includes Horizon Edge Scan, Tunnel Edge Scan, Test Packets, and UAG Local Troubleshooter.

Horizon Edge Scan will scan a UAG deployment based on it's externally resolvable URL. It checks for challenges with port connectivity, SSL configuration and service availablity, with an option for more detailed SSL analysis from Qualys SSL Labs.

Tunnel Edge Scan helps validate that an implementation of Tunnel on UAG matches the configuration defined within the WS1 UEM console. To this end, it scans the Tunnel hostname to confirm that port connectivity and SSL requirments necessary for healthy VPN connections are in place.

Test Packets sends packets with ASCII payloads including the phrase, "EvenGooder test packet," to a targeted UAG appliance. Accordinlgy, you can observe them crossing UAG's eth0 interface using tcpdump and grep.

UAG Local Troubleshooter runs from within the UAG appliance itself to provide further analysis of UAG for Horizon deployments from the inside out. It's a container based solution easily downloaded and run from a UAG appliance by leveraging the native container host capabilities of Photon OS.
